Making jellyfish

In Room 19 we have been learning about the sea and the environment. Last week we got to make jellyfish in a bottle to see what it was like for a turtle to get confused by the plastic and think it is food. We could see why! It was a fun learning experience for us all!

We had such a fun day on the Millennium trip. We got tipped out of kayaks and boats while learning the safe way to get out, learned how to snorkel and did some fun team building games! 

The past two weeks for teach the teacher, Baxter showed us how to make home made paint and Madison showed us how a volcano erupts! Wow! I learned some awesome stuff! 

Room 19 has also been looking into persuasive writing. We went over ideas of why animals should be caged and shouldn't be caged to get our brains thinking. We did some fabulous writing for our first time. Here is an example of some students work; one per writing group.
